Our topic tonight is Joseph Campbell and Goddess Mythology as Dr. Rossi edited Campbell's new book Goddesses, Campbell's first book focused on Goddess mythology.

Next up, Dianne Collins, author of Do You Quantum Think? New Thinking That Will Rock Your World. We'll find out what Quantum Thinking is all about and how we can create better lives using this method of thinking. Scholar Laura Miller will discuss with us Female Driven Culture in Japan, including examples of the Himiko (Shaman Queen of Ancient Japan or Wa) boom, hunting for female empowerment/spirituality spots, Cat cafes, Otome road where there are shops for female manga and costume play fans and demographic power: male beauty work and herbivore men.

Laura Miller is Ei’ichi Shibusawa-Seigo Arai Endowed Professor of Japanese Studies and Professor of Anthropology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has published widely on Japanese culture and language, including topics such as English loanwords in Japanese, elevator girls, the beauty industry, girls’ slang, self-photography, and divination. She teaches courses on Japan and linguistic anthropology and works to promote Japan Studies through a variety of campus and community programming. She is the author or co-editr of four books on Japan. Beauty Up: Exploring Contemporary Japanese Body Aesthetics (University of California Press, 2006), Bad Girls of Japan (Palgrave, 2005) Manners and Mischief: Gender, Power, and Etiquette in Japan (University of California Press, 2011), and Modern Girls on the Go: Gender, Mobility, and Labor in Japan (Stanford University Press, 2013).

With us today is Alexis Martin, Ph.D. student in Women's Spirituality at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Alexis has been dedicated to Goddess Herstory for over a decade and helps us examine the artifacts and figurines of Malta, where the oldest standing stones on Mother Earth exist. We'll be discussing discoveries on the small islands off the coast of Sicily, the cloud of male bias in Academia, Marija Gimbutas, and symbology of the artifacts found in the temples and Hypogeum. Dr. Stuart Mark Berlin is a self-described mystic who created how own path of Tantric Kabbalah as a response to the losses in his life. Daniel T. Unterbrink is with us tonight discussing his newest book, Judas of Nazareth; How the Greatest Teacher of First-Century Israel Was Replaced by a Literary Creation. Dan Unterbrink contends that the real historical Jesus was Judas the Galilean, a messianic and Torah-observant revolutionary bent on overethrowing the Roman government. The New Testament Gospels, therefore, are not transcripts of actual history, but creative workds of historical fiction designed to promote Paul's Christianity and serve the interests of the fledgling Gentile Christian communities.

Scholar, author and foremother, Carol Christ joins us tonight to discuss The Goddess and the Joy of Life in Ancient Crete.  We'll delve into new research on matriarchies, the difference from patriarchy, define "love is free" in matriarchal societies and chat about Crete being a "gift giving" society.   We'll talk about ancient rituals on Crete, redefine patriarchal myths and discuss the "immanental turn" in feminist theologies - and more.....

Crossing the threshold into the second half of the show, returning is Matthew Fox, author of over 30 books including the Hidden Spirituality of Men, Christian Mystics and the most recently, Meister Eckhart.  Matthew, a preeminent scholar and popularizer of Western mysticism, became an Episcopal priest after being excommunicated from the Catholic Church by Cardinal Ratzinger, who later became Pope Benedict XVI for such ideas as earth based spirituality and the Sacred Feminine.  Matthew will discuss Meister Echhart (1260-1329) A Mystic Warrior for Our Times whose thinking/preaching was inalignment with the Beguines and the feminist and poet, Adrienne Rich.

Beyond the obvious, Daphneleah shares with us the importance of self care and self love, how to stay true to oneself while attending to the needs of family and friends, choosing an officiant and why that's important, and gives examples of a Goddess/God focused wedding flow.

Lawrence & Angelina Perri Birney & Roslyn McGrath
At the top of the hour, Lawrence and Angelina Perri Birney discuss PURE VISION & the Sacred Feminine, The Magdalene Revelation - but this is not your typical Mary Magdalene show.  Tonight the overarching theme of both shows can be encapsulated in the Show Topic:  What the Divine Feminine Wants You to Know.  Specifically, Lawrence and Angelina will offer their perspective of the theme as we discuss:  Where are women in the peace process?  Women's movements affecting the paradigm shift, the perverted masculine archetype, connecting subjugation and violence against women to global violence, and more on how the Sacred Feminine is actually a very political deity, archetype and ideal because to embrace Her ideals means dissolving patriarchy, predator capitalism, oppression and exploitation of the 99%.  This is a theme being heard round the world.

Starting off the show tonight, I interview Peter Wilkes, son of an Episcopal minister who had a first-hand look at the inner workings of organized religion and came to the conclusion it has done far more harm than good. We'll discuss his poignantly amusing & thoughtful book, the first in his series of Little Books for Big People, called A Woman Called God - a belief that can change everything!

In the second half of the show, Edward Malkowski explains ancient history in the light of today's economic reality in our show, and his book of the same name, Return of the Golden Age: Ancient History and the Key to Our Collective Future....yet another guy out there, an ally, who recognizes what the "Fall of the "Great Mother Goddess Culture" has cost humanity and how its affecting us today. Dr. Sally Roesch Wagner, the Founding Director of the Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation from Fayetteville, NY discussing Sisters in Spirit:  The Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Influence on Woman's Rights.  Sally is a nationally recognized lecturer, author and performance interpreter of woman's rights history.  She will enlighten us tonight on the traditional Iroquois women and their authority since long before Christopher Columbus came to the Americas. Role models indeed, these Iroquois women had absolute rightss to their own bodies, were economically independent, were responsible for planning their tribe's spiritual ceremonies, had the final say in matters of war and peace and had rights to choose all political representatives.  We'll learn the inspiration for these women's rights of so long ago....and more.

A bit of a change of pace tonight considering the many interested in UFOs, if some Goddesses might have been ETs, and the seeming new secularized religious mythology of "ancient aliens....Ted Peters, investigator of UFOs for 40 years, who previously served as the Louisiana State Director of MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network is currently Emeritus Professor of Systematic Theology & Ethics at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA.  He co-edits the journal Theology & Science at the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences.  We'll discuss if Christianity is threatened by the idea of ETs and where that might fit into that ideology, if he believs Earth may face a crisis if UFOs reveal themselves, if he thinks traditional religions are due to mistaken interpretations of visitations by ancient astronauts - and perhaps, most important, why he as a Christian theologian and religion scholar, interested in UFOs.

In both her books, Kaalii discusses how we might see through collective beliefs, attitudes and practices which bind women to a world view that denies power, choice and control in their lives. We discuss reclaiming our birthright as we understand the feminine principle. She will also introduce a subject new to this interviewer: Mindbody birth control. Weaving a tapestry of history, mythology, anthropology and archetypal psychology the goal is teaching women: Choice vs no choice, empoewrment vs powerlessness, control vs lack of c ontrol, taking active responsibility vs not assuming active responsibiity....and much more!
